Stellantis is required to self-certify products to safety requirements for US vehicles and to gain proper international approvals for vehicles going to international markets. The Vehicle Homologation Manager is responsible for defining and executing the homologation activities required to document US safety self-certification, and for international homologation to allow US engineered vehicles to be homologated for the defined international markets. The Homologation manager will work with the Stellantis engineering team, US TSRC team, and Stellantis global homologation teams to complete assignments.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Review vehicle program information to identify and define certification / homologation plans or changes to these plans
- Review program requirements with regulatory specialists to define specific homologation activity details
- Review new regulations to identify homologation plan impact
- Lead or participate in forums to ensure all stakeholders understand and meet required deliverables
- Escalate items that could impact the ability to meet program milestones
- Coordinate and provide feedback to vehicle programs regarding homologation / certification impact
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
- 5+ years homologation or environmental certification experience, or similar experience
- Ability to interpret product planning information and develop conclusions
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills; ability to drive results
- Broad understanding of vehicle systems
- Self-starter who is detail oriented and disciplined
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in global environmental and safety regulations
- Working knowledge of global regulatory homologation activities and certification processes/procedures
- Master's degree in a Science, Computer, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
