Job DescriptionDevelop, integrate and analyse chassis control systems virtually in order to understand its influence on full vehicle dynamics performance. The main responsibilities of this role will be:
- Create logic concepts as well as implement and document simulation models for the development of chassis control systems (ESC/TCS/ABS/AWD/e-LSD/ICC/etc.) (component test, system integration, validation).
- Work on vehicle integration of chassis control systems (ESC, AWD, e-LSD, etc.) through collaboration with Ride & Handling and Brake engineers both in offline and online simulations (MiL, SiL, DiL). You will also work closely with subjective expert drivers, Electronic Chassis Control engineers, Electronics engineers and Driving simulator engineers.
- Support chassis control system research & development activities.
- Prepare/write project reports.
- Presentation of project results and support decision making.
- Client communication and reporting.
Technical qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics theory, control system design and modern control and estimation strategies.
• 0-2 years experience in Vehicle Dynamics Control Systems development.
• Candidates from Vehicle Dynamics Control background in Formula Student will also be considered.
• Vehicle dynamics simulation experience with lookup tables-based models (VI-CarRealTime, IPG CarMaker, CarSim, etc) or equivalent.
• Experience in model/software-in-the-loop simulation and its integration into Real Time systems.
• Experience in Simulink, MATLAB as well as programming skills.
• Extra: Model Predictive Control know-how and its implementation into Real Time.
