Vehicle Command Center Coordinator
Description
This role is categorized as hybrid . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Global Technical Center in Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum.
As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Vehicle Command Center Coordinator will be responsible for support in one of the key areas: manufacturing/warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management. This position will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.
The Vehicle Command Center Coordinator will be responsible for removing supply chain obstacles within the supply chain that may preclude GM's ability to manufacture product. Ensure appropriate engagement in place and countermeasures being developed to protect supply chain with all necessary parties including GM plants, suppliers, tactical operations, purchasing, logistics and VSSM. Monitor progress to plans and provide leadership awareness of high risk items.
Key Job Elements:
- Lead recovery process for assigned Command Center cases with appropriate GM functional staffs and Assembly/Metal Centers.
- Work with other coordinators managing critical supply issues that come into the NASO Command Center
- Must have some flexibility and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution. Flexibility to include rotation of short term working off shift hours from home.
- Keep Manager, Senior Leadership and Plant Staffs updated on critical issues and send formal updates on potential lost vehicles to schedule or missed parts at operations
- Develop and manage complex flow plans for supplier performance tracking and plant allocation of critical parts
- Will be using MGO, Web-focus and various other tools to analyze supply chain status and develop countermeasures when necessary
- Complete ad hoc projects as required including Holiday supplier work plans, premium reduction initiatives and late/increased production changes
- Must be able to manage very complex & stressful supply issues to resolution with goal to eliminate/minimize plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation
- Position will require working nights/weekends periodically
The selected candidate must live within 50 miles of Warren, MI . This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Warehousing, or related is required
- High level of analytical ability where problems can be somewhat complex
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Computer skills and knowledge with understanding of GM On-line software (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
- Proficient in MGO
- Available to work occasional 2nd and 3rd shift where applicable
