TrueCar is seeking a Vehicle Acquisition Manager to support the growth of our True Cash Offer platform. The Vehicle Acquisition Manager will support dealers and non-dealer clients in parity through the offer process. The Vehicle Acquisition Manager will be responsible for the client's initial and ongoing evaluation and management of their pre-owned inventory. The primary focus is to manage the lifecycle of a client’s vehicle, including verifying vehicle information, along with leading logistics coordination. 

  • Ensure the timely and accurate valuation and processing of used vehicle consumer inventory brought into the dealership 
  • Input vehicle information into the database to ensure an accurate representation of valuation options, and conditions, and support the inventory valuation process.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to dealers on the process and program to ensure successful implementation and ongoing program conversion while maintaining profitability.
  • Work with the client from start to finish to expedite the offer process, solving routine and complex issues as they arise with a high level of service.
  • Liaise directly with Inspection, Titling, and Transportation companies to ensure that transaction steps are completed within designated time frames.
  • Act as Interface between Clients, team members, and 3rd party logistics providers; track activity and alert relevant stakeholders if exceptions occur.
  • Execute critical KPIs while using data proactively to identify issues and potential solutions.
  • Organize ongoing reviews with both internal and external partners, suggest and implement strategies to resolve problems and create efficiencies.
  • Further develop and execute program expansion strategy for prospective dealers while maintaining key dealer relationships. 

  • Demonstrated experience in retail and wholesale automobile sales processes including vehicle inspection and titling processes, as well as dispatching and vehicle transportation processes.
  • Thorough understanding of recondition costs enabling financially sound purchasing decision-making. 
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales and/or other quantitative goals.
  • Results-orientated with an ability to execute and complete deliverables promptly.
  • Excellent analytical and valuation skills, with the ability to set and negotiate pricing.
  • Technical capabilities include email, excel/sheets reporting, standard presentations, web-based search applications, and tablet technology experience.
  • Ability to communicate with a friendly and positive attitude providing best-in-class customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with a high level of self-motivation.

Base salary range: $88,000 - $135,000
