General Summary:

The Associate Director, Architecture & Strategy for CRM will be the Platform Operations Lead across all Veeva CRM workstreams globally across all functions, and business units. You will be responsible for alignment and integration of planned release work across agile development workstreams; ensuring high quality delivery throughout and collaborating cross-functionally within DTE and across key Global business stakeholders to ensure operational practices are well documented, managed and improved over time.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  •  Ensure that teams have the tools, processes, and culture needed to improve the efficiency, reliability, and speed of CRM deployments.

  • Coordinate agile scrum practices activities across workstreams (e.g. marketing automation, MDM, content)
  • Facilitate release management and production release schedule for Veeva CRM platform and coordination with cross functional partners and platform teams
  • Work with vendors and internal partners on implementation of product roadmaps and strategic planning for the Veeva product suites
  • Serve as Operations SME for enhancements, software upgrades, implementations, and integration projects providing product expertise and quality assurance.
  • Responsible for risk and mitigation management to ensure quality production deployments
  • Build relationships within Data, Technology & Engineering, Commercial, Market Access and Medical business partners, as well as additional platform teams.

  • Facilitate system related architectural reviews as needed
  • Proactively champion, educate, and enhance Agile practices to introduce process efficiencies
  • Defines and manages SCRUM framework; Defines and facilitates Agile Events (SoS, Architect Sync, Standups, Retrospective Surveys etc.)
  • Partner closely with platform leader to align technical objectives with business goals
  • Manages development capacity across CRM teams
  • Provide input into budget/forecasting estimates and resource allocation to drive strategic initiatives that align with business objectives. 
  • Develop a vision for how Agile Methods and DevOps can contribute to the company's long-term goals
  • Build a cohesive team culture and serves as a visionary, architect, catalyst and coach to teams (direct and matrix-managed) and peers.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Established vendor/partner relationships within Veeva, and within managed services provider network.
  • Ability to drive continuous operational improvement
  • Proven ability to stay abreast of industry and technology trends
  • Expert knowledge in Agile SDLC and DevOps
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of IT governance and operations
  • Strong project and program management planning and organizational skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication skills; especially for explaining complex topics

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, software engineering or other related technology degree.
  • Requires 7+ years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Veeva implementation, program management, business analysis, and full life-cycle Cloud implementation
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Veeva CRM or Salesforce Life Sciences delivery either through work at industry participants or consulting to the industry
  • Pharma commercial CRM experience in configuring Veeva CRM, and integration experience with other Veeva modules like Veeva Vault, Veeva Network, Veeva Events, Veeva MyInsights, Veeva OpenData, Approved Email and Veeva CRM functionality

Flex Eligibility Status:

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 
1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2. On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
