We are looking for a brilliant Programme Application Specialist. As part of our PMO Department, you will be a key player in ensuring that our project planning software effectively supports business needs. You will coordinate project applications lifecycle from configuration to maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation, training internal users and managing vendors.
Job DescriptionProgramme Application Coordination
Ensure that applications used by the planning department are fully functional, up to date, and operating efficiently. Together with the software developers and vendors, manage configuration, upgrades, and routine system health checks.
Act as the primary point of contact with end-users for resolving technical issues: diagnose software bugs, contact developers or vendors to support them to solve the issue, manage incident tickets on daily basis, and restore services as soon as possible, follow up with end-users to ensure that incident has been properly corrected. Keep the user community always informed of latest software development and status.
Create comprehensive training materials, documentation, and user guides, and ensures that they are always kept up to date. Conduct training sessions to ensure end-users feel comfortable and proficient with all the planning software. Keep the user community up to date of the latest system enhancements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into technical specifications to be presented to and follow up with the designated software developer. Assist in the testing (User Acceptance Tests) and deployment of new software or system enhancements using collaborative tools to ensure all requirements and corrective actions are tracked correctly.
Work alongside third-party software developers and vendors and internal IT team to integrate systems.
Develop, implement, maintain and use in-house tools and small-scale software to facilitate system maintenance and project management activities.
Run as required (daily, weekly or ad hoc) project reports using business intelligence tools to create reports and dashboards that can be accessed by the business. Extract the information from the analytic databases in specific formats so it can be reused in other downstream systems.

We specify that the above mentioned level is a minimum threshold and does not correspond to the overall compensation package, which is determined by objective, measurable and gender-neutral criteria, being significantly higher than the contractual minimum indicated.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or equivalent industry experience).
Operational understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Good skills in MS SQL and Python programming language and frameworks.
Ability to evaluate business workflows, diagnose root causes of system errors, and develop viable solutions.
Proficient in using PowerBI for data analysis and business intelligence reporting,
Excellent communication skills to understand business stakeholders needs and exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical users.
Proactive approach to work, able to quickly understand business needs and suggest feasible and practical solutions.
Excellent social skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders.
High level of organizational skills with ability to work both independently and as a team player.
Able to work to tight deadlines.
Proficiency in English and Italian.
