Position Summary:
The Vocational Counselor Intern will provide essential support to the Vocational Counseling team in a variety of administrative and programmatic tasks. This role is ideal for a motivated individual seeking hands-on experience in vocational services and workforce development. The intern will work closely with Vocational Counselors and team members to support interviews, assessments, events, and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Vocational Counselors with daily operations, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination with other departments.
- Provide support during initial interviews with potential candidates or program participants.
- Assist with organizing and gathering information for supervisor and employee assessments.
- Help plan, coordinate, and execute internal events, trainings, and workshops.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of program activities.
- Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and responding to emails.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Master’s degree in Rehab Counseling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- A team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a vocational, HR, or counseling setting is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
