Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled VB.Net Developer – Long Term Contract – Detroit, MI - Onsite for one of our clients.
Job Title: VB.NET Developer
Location: Detroit, MI - Onsite
Duration: 6 months+ (Contract To Hire)
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced VB.NET Developer to design, develop, and maintain Windows/Web-based applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in VB.NET and the .NET framework, along with database and application support experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using VB.NET
- Work with business analysts to understand requirements and implement solutions
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and testing activities
- Support existing applications and resolve production issues
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in VB.NET
- Hands-on experience with .NET Framework
- Experience with SQL Server and database development
- Knowledge of Windows Forms / ASP.NET (as applicable)
- Familiarity with ADO.NET
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
- Experience with version control tools (Git, TFS, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with C# is a plus
- Knowledge of Web Services / APIs
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
