The Role

The VASS Consultant – Professional Services will conduct multiple healthcare supply chain project engagements focused on value analysis governance program development and product category specific strategic sourcing initiatives.  They will demonstrate the value and ROI of GHX products through improved productivity, decreased supply chain costs and increased accuracy in clinical documentation and revenue capture. In addition to, evaluating and defining customer best practices with GHX products and tools to optimize product adoption.  The VASS Consultant – Professional Services will Interface directly with GHX connected customers to improve their clinically integrated supply chain and clinical health record processes, increase cost savings, and create repeatable processes for use across the GHX customer base. Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Meets and builds relationships with client resources by presenting and discussing industry trends, best in class strategies, and gaining buy in for GHX industry initiatives and consulting services.
  • Actively collaborates with supervisors in deploying GHX products to clients.
  • Identifies opportunities in the customer organization where GHX products or services can make improvements related to value analysis and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Instruct customers on best practices related to implementation and use of GHX products and processes.
  • Develops process improvement plans to address the identified opportunities.
  • Develops and facilitates training sessions to implement identified change management in support of GHX product initiatives.
  • Directs client collection of qualitative and quantitative data to assess current processes, benchmark against best practice metrics, and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Leads client discussions and meetings to present analysis and facilitate client decision making in selecting improvement tactics.
  • Collaborates with GHX Implementation, Customer Success Manager, Sales, Product Management and Marketing to identify and address customer needs.
  • Creates solutions to client problems and monitors engagement progress.
  • Creates support documentation, work plans, and other deliverables.
  • Coordinates client assignments: monitors client satisfaction, assures engagement efficiency and quality, and manages continuous improvement process.
  • Ability to contribute different thoughts, ideas and viewpoints that lead to greater innovation on projects and cross-functional collaborative efforts. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or combination of education and equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years practical hospital supply chain experience or equivalent supply chain consulting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years healthcare consulting, project management or related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospital procurement processes and value analysis program
  • Hands on working knowledge of hospital benchmarking systems
  • Knowledge of industry leading practices and key metrics
  • Understanding of healthcare value analysis and strategic sourcing operations
  • Comprehension of basic financial accounting activities.
  • Strong analytical ability to identify processes and determine how to create process improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry information systems and applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proven experience in developing and executing systems integration.
  • Strong organization skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives.
  • Demonstrated project management and deliverable creation.
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time, as needed.

The compensation for this role is: $109,700-$146,200

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
