We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic, reliable, and engaging Van Guide to join our Clues & Brews: Murder Mystery Beer Tour team. If you love Providence, enjoy interacting with guests, and want to lead an immersive, puzzle-filled tour, we’d love to hear from you! First-time van drivers are welcome to apply, but all guides must have a Rhode Island chauffeur’s license before beginning and complete our driver training program.
About the Tour
Step back into Providence’s shadowy past on Clues & Brews: A Murder Mystery Beer Tour, where cold cases meet cold pints. Inspired by the unsolved 1891 murder of Josephine Barnaby, this immersive experience blends true crime intrigue with the city’s vibrant craft beer scene. Guests become part of the story as they follow in the footsteps of suspects, sift through clues, and piece together evidence at each stop—all while enjoying some of Providence’s best local brews.
More than just a bar crawl, Clues & Brews is a fully interactive whodunit where every clue brings you closer to solving the mystery—and the next brewery. Work with (or against) your fellow sleuths to unravel puzzles, uncover hidden motives, navigate surprising twists, and crack the mystery before the final toast. Perfect for friends, couples, or anyone who loves puzzles with their pints, this tour offers a one-of-a-kind way to drink, think, and discover Providence’s darker history.
This tour will launch in March of 2026, with training beginning at the end of January 2026.
Additionally, the Providence Tour Company is always writing more tours- more opportunities for hours are always on the way.
Your Role
As a Van Guide, you’ll:
- Safely drive small groups between breweries and other tour locations
- Lead the tour experience, engaging guests with storytelling, clues, and interactive challenges
- Serve as the friendly first point of contact, setting the tone for a fun, immersive experience
- Support the puzzle-solving aspects of the tour, helping guests navigate twists, turns, and surprises
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the van, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
What You Bring
- A valid Rhode Island chauffeur’s license (or willingness to obtain one before starting) and a clean driving record
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor
- Exceptional public speaking and storytelling abilities to engage diverse audiences
- Punctuality, reliability, and a commitment to guest safety
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and on-tour surprises
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, guiding, or performance (a plus but not required)
