About the role

Manages all manufacturing, quality at the source and daily maintenance related processes, ensuring compliance and control, as well as meet the needs demanded by our customers. Communicate company policies and decisions by identifying staffing and capital needs, collecting information and writing justifications for those needs.

Key duties and responsibilities

Serves as a model to follow and is key to your team, demonstrating a passion for the business which generates commitment to the key values of ConvaTec.

· Develops people consistently through coaching and counseling, collaborates with the entire Value Stream Team to develop leadership skills.

· Provides coaching, teaching and development opportunities in its area to improve and strengthen the organization.

· Develops and maintains collaborative relationships at the Focus Factory plant with the objective of successfully supporting the focus factory production plan on a daily basis.

· Ensures compliance with quality and regulatory standards in daily operation.

· Manages the day-to-day operation, ensuring the identification of projects to reduce costs, productivity and quality gains, through the planning and execution of the respective value stream strategies.

· Monitors and executes the production plan to achieve customer satisfaction, ensuring a direct collaboration is done with corporate production planning.

· Assesses the necessary training resources and monitors the variance of materials to take opportunities to improve them within the value stream.

· Identifies opportunities, allocates resources and develops action plans to push improvement projects for the value stream working alongside the process engineering team assigned to the value stream.

· Maintains, supports and develops strategies and programs to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and policies.

· Ensures that daily maintenance is carried out to improve the efficiency of the machines.

Skills & Experience

· Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems / data and processes to achieve major improvements and optimizations in the plant.

· Deep knowledge of technology, maintenance and manufacturing. Knowledge of safety, GMP and other regulations and regulatory and environmental requirements.

· Demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve results.

· Proven ability to communicate effectively within and outside your immediate area of responsibility.

· Knowledge in continuous improvement, structures and support systems for continuous improvement.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications/Education:

· Bachelor or Engineering degree.

· Master's degree, preferably.

· 7 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing including supervisor and managerial responsibilities (preferably).

Fluent English level.
