Our Military OE team is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager for the Hydraulic Assembly & Test (A&T) department in East Aurora. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations-related activities within the value stream. You will report directly to the East Aurora Site Operations Manager – A&T and work on-site in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for the Value Stream Manager role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline (or equivalent)

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a related operations role within a manufacturing environment

    • At least two of the years should include management experience with direct reports

  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external customers.

  • A proven track record of driving results and improving business performance.

  • Demonstrated success in leading change, managing ambiguity, and influencing others to achieve successful outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing lean production, process improvement tools, Kaizen, LMS, etc.

  • Experience providing employees with effective feedback, coaching, and development.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, as well as excellent communication abilities at all levels, both internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated business and technical acumen, with the ability to engage the right organizational resources to resolve customer problems efficiently.

As a Value Stream Manager you will:

  • Directly managing and leading a team of operations leaders and technicians.

  • Responsible for leading the overall Value Stream operations and Value Stream Improvement Plan (VSIP). Provides customer support as needed.

  • Responsible for maintaining and/or improving all aspects of operational performance within the value stream including safety, quality, delivery, inventory, etc.

    • Including financial performance of the value steam

  • Creating a culture of continuous improvement, team problem solving and a learning organization.

    • Implementing standard work to improve the internal processes to support the needs of the value stream.

    • Ensuring there is a highly visual management system within the value stream.

  • Ensuring high visibility to employees, by holding regular team meetings, provide coaching, information, ideas, feedback and encouragement to team leaders, associates and the site to promote growth and development of the value stream team.

  • Planning adequate capacity and resources to achieve operational goals.

  • Providing regular performance feedback to team members and direct reports.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $125,000.00–$175,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
