Job Description SummaryThe Value Solutions Leader (VSL) is the deal-level system integrator responsible for developing winning application solutions as part of the New Unit Heavy Duty ITR process. The VSL coordinates between Regional Customer Application Engineers (RCAEs) and Sales/Commercial teams in the early pre-bid stage to influence specifications towards GE Vernova preferred configurations and develop optimized gas turbine & combined cycle life cycle strategies that maximize customer value with a risk-balanced approach.
This role will provide VSL support for the Americas region.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Leads the customer solution development and configuration optimization effort as part of the pre-ITO process while interfacing with Regional Customer Application Engineering, Sales & Commercial, Product Line, Engineering, Services, and Supply Chain. 
  • Provides technical expertise including: analysis of customer needs, selection and optimization of applicable GE Vernova products, calculation of plant/equipment performance and efficiency, definition of scope, and evaluation of cost and schedule impacts, considering contract and internal policies and procedures.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies.
  • Works with Systems Engineering and Product Management to expand product application space and / or mitigate risks from deviations due to transactional needs
  • Proactively communicates and / or conducts reviews of configuration strategy with leadership
  • Leads pre-ITO to ITO hand-off of the selected pre-bid strategy and support ITO team with bid strategy execution and pivots as required
  • Supports operational excellence initiatives; provides deal pipeline and status visibility, documents and tracks value-add, and drives accountability for deal documentation
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Advanced Power Generation engineering experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s Degree in engineering or technical discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Extensive gas turbine product knowledge and/or combined cycle systems level knowledge
  • Performance & Life Cycle Value Analysis experience
  • Technical competency in gas turbine and combined cycle steady state performance modeling and associated tools (GTP, Ebsilon, ALPRO, etc.)
  • Ability to coordinate with a cross-functional team to determine optimum application solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different times zones with high degree of autonomy
  • Experience working directly with customers to understand and satisfy their project requirements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $ 111,200.00 - 185,400.00 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

This position is expected to close on 12/8/25.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $185,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
