Bolzoni Group located in Sulligent, AL is seeking a Value Engineer (I or II).
This role will focus on product cost evaluation for Bolzoni Group products manufactured in the plant and feasibility analysis for new RFQ. In addition, the role will collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to define the best production process during the industrialization phase.
The ideal candidate will combine engineering expertise with a forward-thinking approach to digital tools, to help transform cost estimation process through the use of AI and automation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate costs for new products or for products localization
- Use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings for products already in production
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to during industrialization phase and to reduce time to quote
- Check product cost variance in case of design change
- Assist with industrialization and pre-production engineering activities
- Implement and support workflow automation solutions (e.g., Power Automate) to improve (Cost Analysis)
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities using AI-driven analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (required)
- 1 –5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or product cost estimation
- Knowledge of mechanical processes, especially welding and machining
- Experience or interest in AI tools, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
- Experience with ERP or engineering systems (SAP, Teamcenter, NX Siemens, or similar preferred)
- Strong background with Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AI tools
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools
- Background in cost analysis or value engineering
