Job Description

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for understanding the performance objectives of Starling’s value-based (measuring quality and cost-of-care) agreements with health plans and assisting Starling practices to use data accurately and completely from the health plans and the EHR to achieve those objectives.

Key Accountabilities: 
 

• Accessing health plan reporting/data available to Starling about its performance and consolidating the information on behalf of Starling practices
• Assessing the accuracy of health plan data by verifying information in Starling’s EHR
• Communicating performance results and goals to individual practices
• Staying current on industry best practices through continuing education, including health plan sponsored programs
• Maintaining strict patient and provider confidentiality
• Adhering to HIPAA regulations
• Performing other duties as requested

Relationships

• Reports to Value-Based Supervisor
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and providers.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Additional Skills & Requirements):

• High school graduate or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
• Previous physician practice experience and familiarity with commonly used health care vocabulary
• Competence in using EPIC electronic health record and Microsoft Office suite, with special emphasis on Excel; willingness to accept additional training as needed.
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Follow safety procedures as indicated in the departmental and organizational Emergency Action Plan
• Ability to work effectively and professionally under pressure.
• Ability to work in a team and to share responsibilities and duties.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict in a straightforward and timely manner.
• Ability to set priorities, be organized and multi-task as needed.
• Ability to be friendly, empathic and an adept communicator.
• Ability to treat both staff and patients with respect.

Working Conditions, Physical Requirements:               

• Support function will occur within various corporate and clinical settings and workspaces.
• Incumbents may be required to work at any facility based on operation need, and schedule may vary. 
• Physical activity will include walking, standing, and sitting.
• Physical demands may also include lifting and carrying equipment up to 30 lbs or providing physical assistance to patients.
• Other physical requirements include speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes; vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.; and good manual dexterity.
