Our growing team has an open role for an experienced Director to lead and grow our Disputes and Investigations practice. You will be responsible for managing
engagements involving litigation, arbitration, and other dispute-related matters. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on client management, and the ability to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee complex valuation engagements tied to commercial disputes,
shareholder disputes, bankruptcy litigation, intellectual property, forensic investigations and other contested matters.
• Prepare and defend valuation analyses for expert witness testimony.
• Draft expert reports, rebuttal reports, and provide deposition and courtroom
support.
• Manage client relationships, communicate directly with attorneys, corporate
clients, and other stakeholders.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior valuation professionals.
• Collaborate with internal teams across appraisal, restructuring, and advisory
practices.
• Drive business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, client
pitches, and thought leadership.
• Stay current on relevant legal, regulatory, and valuation standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in business valuation, litigation consulting,
forensic accounting, or disputes advisory.
• Accreditation such as ASA, CFA, CPA/ABV, or similar designation preferred.
• Proven experience in expert witness support or serving as an expert witness.
• Deep knowledge of valuation methodologies (DCF, market comps, option pricing
models, etc.) and financial reporting standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain
complex valuation issues to non-technical audiences.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on practice growth and client service
excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
In compliance with the New York and Illinois Pay Transparency Law, the base
salary range for this role in Illinois is between $190,000 and $230,000. This salary range does not include discretionary bonus or other forms of compensation or benefits which are offered in connection with this job. Several factors are
considered when determining a candidate’s compensation. Please note that the
salary range listed for this position is based on the level of experience outlined in the job description. If a candidate's experience differs from the requirements, the salary may be adjusted accordingly.
