Job Description:

• Valuation Actuarial Analyst is a role that focuses on the creation and analysis of insurance company financial statements.
• This position is open to assist in the production of financial statements based on Canadian Accounting Standards (Canadian GAAP) including IFRS 17 modeling, IFRS 17 reporting, and required capital calculations.

Preferred skills (heading) / Compétences particulières (titre)

• Good technical skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
• Basic technical skills in SQL.
• Good understanding in Actuarial Science.
• Basic understanding in IFRS 17 Standards and Required Capital concept.
• Proficient in English language.

Qualifications (heading) / Compétences (titre)

• Bachelor Degree of Actuarial Science or Mathematics or Statistics.
• Have passed minimum of 5 local actuarial exams (PAI) or 2 international actuarial exams (SOA).
• Have internship experience is preferred.
• Have modeling experience with actuarial software is preferred.

Responsibilities (heading) / Responsabilités (titre)

• Perform modeling works including implementation of new product, implementation of assumption changes, model validation, and model documentation.
• Prepare and produce the figures for quarterly financial statements reporting.
• Prepare a forecasted income statement.
• Support the analysis of financial statements or Required Capital figures.
