Description of role and responsibilities:

Candidate will perform design for manufacturing analysis using VALOR platform to evaluate electronics PCBA assembly layout, in adherence with IPC guidelines, component manufacturer specification/recommendations and industry standard practices. VALOR output report will be qualified and quantified using a standard format in which risk assessment is presented for possible design modifications to improve manufacturability, quality and yield.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen in order to comply with ITAR and DFAR requirements
  • Engineering B.S. degree (Electrical)
  • Experience managing/viewing PCB files and viewers:
    • Cadence/Allegro
    • ODB++
    • Gerber/ASCII files
    • KiCAD
    • Siemens Xpedition
    • CAMvu
  • Experience in search/interpretation of electronics part data, component libraries.
  • Component engineering experience 
  • 3 years of experience in basic PCB design guidelines (Real Estate constraints/component proximity, thermal relief, copper density/distribution, trace/pad copper balance, etc.)
  • PCB panel/Array design
  • PCBA assembly experience desired (SMT/Pin through hole, Press fit interconnects)

Due to ITAR and / or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.
