About the tasks :
As an assistant to the Construction Contracts Engineer, you will be assigned to the North Field South (NFS) project site in Ras Laffan, Qatar, as part of the Technip Energies team carrying out the project with its construction partner, Consolidated Contractors Group, through the T. ENCCC JV joint venture.
For the duration of your VIE assignment, you will be responsible for the following activities:
- Understanding the contractual and commercial operations of Technip Energies’ construction contracts, with a particular focus on the NFS project contracts
Assisting the local manager with the following tasks:
- Tracking and responding to requests for additional work
- Managing cost and/or extension-of-time claims from and to subcontractors
- Monthly tracking of invoicing and payments to subcontractors
- Weekly meetings with subcontractors
- Preparing the monthly activity report for construction contracts
- Preparing contract amendments
- Tracking correspondence related to construction contracts
- Coordination with other project disciplines (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Scheduling, etc.) to ensure and anticipate that the subcontractor is able to perform its services without disruption, thereby protecting the company’s interests against potential claims from the subcontractor
- Involvement in site operations: Regular site visits; participation in HSE inspections
About the profile:
- Graduate of a general engineering school
- You are eager to gain hands-on experience with the on-site execution of a large-scale onshore project within the LNG sector.
- You are meticulous and a strong team player, capable of taking initiative and responding to the demands of the job with professionalism and energy.
- You enjoy dealing with contractual and financial matters as well as commercial negotiations.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and are able to manage problems thoughtfully and effectively. You are comfortable working in diverse cultural and environmental settings.
- You are motivated, resilient, and ready to commit to an assignment at a challenging construction site.
- Very good spoken and written English required.
- Very good command of English (reading, speaking, writing)
