Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Lead for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.
This role is responsible for designing engaging, intuitive, and effective digital experience. Provides a leadership role on projects to ensure project and user success by taking a broad view of the problem space that identifies root causes and actively works with business groups to resolve them. Collaborates with product owners, user research, and developers to problem solve through design exploration, ideation, and user validation

Essential Job Functions:
- Leads user experience teams through defining, designing, and delivery processes.
- Partners with research teams to develop concepts and prototypes to be tested.
- Utilizes conceptual prototypes, wireframes, and mid-fidelity mockups to present to stakeholders, align with development, and test with customers/users.
- Collaborates with product teams to conceive and refine project requirements, user needs, and business needs.
- Leads and centers the product team to focus on customer/user behavior, pain points, and to further define the user experience strategy and roadmap.
- Utilizes breadth of expertise in user experience methodologies across defining, designing and delivery processes: build, iteration, and analysis.
- Conducts and facilitates workshops and usability evaluation using industry specific software.
- Identifies and articulates opportunities within the user experience.
- Plans and conducts user research with an emphasis on end user obstacles and resolution of obstacles.
- Designs user interface, layouts, patterns and system components through partnership with user experience designers.
- Actively guides and mentors junior members of the team across disciplines on best practices.
- Able to participate in cross-disciplinary and cross-team leadership discussions to advocate for design processes and methods.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years experience in a designer role focused on user experience and/or user interface required.
- Minimum of five years experience working with design systems, and ability to extend them to scale products in new directions required.
- Proven knowledge of usability principles, UX best practices, and design thinking required

Experience with complex digital product design required
