UX Researcher

Our growth is driving us to strengthen our UX Research team within the Product & Design department to scale our research capabilities and better support product decisions across our core cloud infrastructure.

Your mission will be to lead impactful user research on highly technical products, while developing scalable ResearchOps practices and empowering product teams to conduct research independently, in order to embed user insights into product strategy and continuously improve the experience of our cloud infrastructure users.

You will join a growing team of 2 UX Researchers, within the Design department, working closely with Product Managers and Product Designers across different tribes. 

The team focuses on making user research more continuous, accessible and impactful across Scaleway's product organization. Key initiatives include scaling ResearchOps, developing our Insight Hub, enabling People Who Do Research (PwDR), and responsibly integrating AI into research workflows.

You will also collaborate with Solution Architects, Customer Success and Marketing teams when relevant, gaining exposure to a wide range of technical products and customer needs.

• Lead end-to-end UX research initiatives, from discovery to usability testing and continuous research, focusing on cloud infrastructure products and technical users such as developers, DevOps engineers and system administrators.

• Partner closely with Product Managers and Product Designers to identify research opportunities, frame relevant research questions and translate findings into actionable product recommendations.

• Collaborate with Product Designers to make highly technical concepts (e.g. provisioning, networking, storage configuration) understandable and usable, helping Scaleway stand out for usability in a historically technical industry.

• Develop and scale ResearchOps practices, including research workflows, methodologies, templates and insight management processes.

• Contribute to the development and adoption of the Insight Hub, ensuring research findings are accessible, reusable and actionable across multiple product tribes.

• Empower Product Managers, Product Designers and other PwDRs to conduct high-quality research independently through coaching, training and practical research guidelines.

• Explore and integrate AI-powered tools and automated workflows to improve research efficiency while maintaining methodological rigor and responsible practices.

• Identify cross-product user needs and behavioral patterns to generate insights that extend beyond individual features or product teams.

• Advocate for user-centered decision-making, communicate research findings effectively and follow up on their impact on product roadmaps and strategic priorities.

• UX Research expertise: 4+ years of experience in UX Research, or UX Design with a strong research focus, including discovery research, usability testing, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

• Technical product experience: Proven experience researching complex B2B products, ideally in cloud infrastructure, developer tools, SaaS or enterprise technology, with the ability to understand technical users and unfamiliar technical concepts.

• ResearchOps & continuous research: Experience structuring scalable research processes, managing research insights and repositories, and contributing to continuous or always-on research practices.

• Research enablement & stakeholder collaboration: Experience coaching non-researchers, particularly Product Managers and Product Designers, and translating findings into actionable product decisions within Lean/Agile environments.

• Research tools & AI: Proficiency with tools such as Figma, FigJam and web/product analytics platforms, with an interest in leveraging AI and automation to improve research workflows and insight management.

• Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.

• Proactivity and ownership: You take initiative, identify opportunities for improvement and confidently drive research projects forward.

• Empathy and collaboration: You build strong relationships with stakeholders, understand their constraints and adapt your approach to facilitate effective collaboration.
