The Role:

Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a UX Intern to join our User Experience (UX) team as an intern for 6-months. The team is comprised of many highly talented enthusiastic individuals who ensure the services and offerings from Kobo are available to both internal and external customers. 

 

Reporting to the Director of User Experience, the UX Intern will gain real-world professional experience through hands-on participation in core design activities like research, (problem) discovery, collaborative solution ideation, execution, and delivery of design assets. The UX Intern will also learn how to work with professional design tools in the execution of their design tasks. 

   

The Skillset: 

Required: 

  • Understanding of core design principles and some experience in solving real-life user experience problems. 
  • Familiarity with digital design tool, specifically Figma, to create content and/or design assets. 
  • Ability to think critically and be receptive to learning through constructive critique.
