Your Responsibilities
As a UX Engineer, Tractors for John Deere ISG located in Urbandale, IA, you will....
- Mentor designers, dive deep into technical challenges, and help shape the future of tractor experiences.
- Be part of a close-knit, collaborative Operator Experience group that values creativity, learning, and teamwork.
- Discover, Define, Design and lead Delivery of in-cab experiences with shared responsibility for integration of cross-domain technology with other UX team members
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX Design, Systems Engineering, Customer Support, Marketing, and Software team members to deliver a best-in-class user experience to John Deere customers.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform validation activities for a variety of projects from a sub-system to a product level.
This position can be done remotely for candidates currently based in Iowa, but will require willingness/ability to travel up to 75% to test sites.

What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years of applied experience in User Experience Design or Research
- 5 or more years of experience working with cross-functional teams such as engineering, software development, marketing, and business leaders
- Strong communication skills and an ability to lead teams through the user centered design process
- 3 or more years of experience of communicating research methodology, design concepts, data analysis, and test results to abroad range of stakeholders
- Experience creating embedded software solution User Interfaces
- Experience applying Human Factors principles in the Agriculture Equipment industry
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience using UX metrics to provide insights to product and engineering groups
- Experience applying Human Factors principles in Tractor design
- Experience with design collaboration software (Sketch, Figma)
- Experience with software project management tools (Azure Dev Ops)
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or comparable work experience or certifications
