We are seeking a passionate and collaborative Senior User Experience Designer to join our web UX team!
Our Sr. UXDs lead web-based projects through a collaborative process across digital marketing: Brand/Design, Development, SEO, CRO, Paid media, and Product. Responsible for crafting compelling solution-based experiences from initial concept through to market launch, the ideal candidate will possess the curiosity and empathy to thoroughly understand our persona and stakeholder needs, and the passion to enhance these experiences through evidence-based design decisions.
Through an extensive skillset and an intimate understanding of user-centered design (UCD), our UX team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of SailPoint.com. The senior UXD position demands a keen awareness of current digital trends, the skillset to build solid UX strategies with targeted user journeys, a thorough understanding of content strategy, information architecture and taxonomy, marketing performance measurement, KPIs, and web traffic, and familiarity with the B2B marketing channel and the marketing content funnel.
The Senior User Experience Designer reports to the Director of Web Experience and is a 100% remote position.
What You'll Do:

  • As a strategic and process-level thinker, you lead the creation of our brand's digital experiences by ideating and collaborating with our internal teams to create engaging end-to-end solutions.
  • Lead discussions and brainstorms with marketing stakeholders around the globe to understand the purpose of and requirements around their website updates or content creation. Must have the experience to understand how these requirements fit into the larger experience strategy and what to do if they don't.
  • Collaborate with the full digital team to craft modern digital solutions through wireframes, prototypes and user flows.
  • Create presentations to communicate your solutions to stakeholders using a data-backed design approach to deliver solid rationale for all decisions.
  • Manage your web projects from concept to delivery, ensuring they stay true to their original intent, remain in scope, and stay on strategy.
  • Use your passion for all aspects of design, including conceptual thinking, typography, motion, copy, imagery, and contextual storytelling, to create best-in-class experiences.
  • Guide the implementation of digital projects by generating clear, detailed functional specifications.
  • Mentor teammates, ensuring cohesion and collaboration within the team.
  • Partner with our web project team to manage and continuously improve our component-based design system in Figma and its corresponding documentation.
  • Partner with our CRO team on rapid conversion testing and iterations to maximize insights derived.


What You Have:

  • UX/UI - A deep understanding of UCD, responsive design, and data-driven design principles; ability to provide rationale and supporting data for UX recommendations; a desire to lead the creation of digital experiences and customer journeys; a passion for representing the users (prospect & customer), and an intense curiosity about why people do what they do.
  • Information architecture - The ability to map out complex information architectures through site maps, user flows, taxonomy, and other organizational diagrams linked to user needs.
  • Research skills-The capability to synthesize complex or diverse information from research, using intuition and experience to complement research data when creating digital marketing solutions.
  • Problem-solving - Skills to identify and resolve problems in a pragmatic, timely manner; you work well in group problem-solving situations; use reason even when dealing with stress or emotional topics.
  • Technical skills - The capability to assess your strengths and weaknesses, pursue training and career development paths that build knowledge and skills continuously, and share this expertise with teammates.
  • People skills-You are a behavioralist who understands the importance of building relationships and trust within the team and throughout the larger organization. You communicate UX concepts to marketing and leadership in an understandable, persuasive, and non-technical manner. You work well independently and collaboratively.
  • Time management skills - With a high volume of projects on your plate, you are focused on priorities but flexible, with the ability to communicate changes in approach or progress to the larger team.


What You Need:

  • Comprehensive experience in on-trend UX practices and strategies: component-based design systems, enterprise CMS, rapid-prototyping
  • Mastery of Figma: an in-depth understanding of CSS, components, design systems, pattern libraries, and the experience to tie them all together.
  • The technical skills to create rock-solid deliverables, including sitemaps, user journeys, use cases, wireframes, and functional documentation, and a fanatical obsession over the quality of what gets launched.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate your vision to stakeholders and leadership. Technical writing experience is required.
  • A thorough understanding of mobile-first, responsive/fluid design principles and why they matter.
  • Proven experience solutioning for large-scale enterprise platforms and interaction design.
  • Hands-on experience working in CMSs as well as defining and implementing taxonomies across established content.
  • A thorough understanding of website traffic reports, and how to solution against them.
  • Familiarity of and appreciation for user testing, both qualitative and quantitative, with the capability to synthesize results into action plans.
  • Ability to design for accessibility standards (WCAG 2.x)
  • Strong writing and presentation creation skills to communicate your approach.
  • Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of current web development technologies
  • 5+ years of experience architecting solutions across various platforms
  • 2+ years experience working in a fast-paced integrated agency environment
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred not required


You will be asked for your portfolio, which should not only contain beautiful, usable experiences designed for various devices and contexts but also provide context for all the work that led you there.
Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint's differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$99,260 - $141,800 - $184,340
Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee's home location.
