The Thales IAM User Experience team is a collaborative and passionate team of user-centered designers and researchers who are making a positive impact on our users’ experiences. We love our users and their problems. We are on a mission to make our users' lives simpler.

As a User Experience Designer your work will help companies build trusted identities and access for their employees and customers. You will contribute to the design of experiences that meet user needs and business objectives. You will collaborate with your design teammates, UX leaders, business, product, and engineering stakeholders.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Demonstrated experience as a UX Designer including methods such as Storytelling, Team Collaboration, software development lifecycle, user-centered design, design thinking, design principles, heuristics, design testing, user feedback and iterative design.

  • Turns abstract ideas into the representations at the right level of fidelity (sketches, journey maps, wire frames, high fidelity visual comps, and prototypes) to get user feedback and align the product team.

  • Present design concepts and deliverables to stakeholders, defending the data-based rationale behind design decisions.

  • Mobile-first designer that creates adaptive and responsive product designs for workflows across mobile, tablet and desktop experiences.

  • Plans and leads cross-functional product team collaborations that create forward thinking ideas, innovative user experiences and intellectual capital that has a positive market outcome.

  • Uses storytelling to align a product team to a shared product vision.

  • Coaches a product team to plan for and execute design discovery, design vision and design delivery processes including planning for evaluative and generative design research, iterative design, and usability testing.

  • Mastered product design processes including product development lifecycle, user-centered design, design thinking, design principles, heuristics, design testing, user feedback and iterative design.

  • Collaborates with user research, helps collect and synthesize data into actionable insights that are demonstrated in user outcomes.

  • Enjoys great design debates and iterating designs based on feedback.

Requirements:

  • You graduated with a Master’s in Design, Product Design, Interaction/Experience Design

  • Naturally curious with demonstrated excellence in critical thinking and tackling complex problems.

  • Excellence in written and verbal communication skills, including user, product team and stakeholder interactions and presentations.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced software development environment.

  • Experience with AI-powered design and development tools to drive efficiency and high velocity.

  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating your user-centered design craft, visualizations of complex experiences, storytelling, sketches, mock-ups, prototypes, etc.

  • Experience with Agile processes and tools including refinement, estimation, Jira, Confluence, etc or a willingness to learn.

  • Experience in designing commercially available enterprise-grade software products.

  • Experience with cybersecurity products is a plus
