Job Title: UX Designer

Location: Washington, D.C.

Position Type: Full Time 
Summary: 
The UX Designer starts with empathy for the needs of stakeholders and develops a deep understanding of user goals so that they can create application experiences that delight. UX Designers will conduct stakeholder interviews, analyze user requirements, create interactive wireframes for applications, implement accessible designs, and be a subject matter expert in web design standards and trends. UX Designers will be responsible for managing project design reviews, resource planning, and execution for all project work related to application and service design.
General Responsibilities:

  • Designs interactive wireframes, mockups, and style guides for web applications.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key peers in Product Management, Software Engineering, and others to identify and plan creative solutions.
  • Manages external service resources for visual design (Adobe, Figma, etc.).
  • Ensures successful completion of all work executed by the team (on time, on budget, and ensuring quality).
  • Develops, maintains, and ensures compliance of application release management, outage management and change control processes and standards.
  • Defines, creates, communicates, and manages resource plans and other required project documentation such as style guides and provides updates as necessary.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

EXPERIENCE Desired:

  • Experience using modern web development tools, techniques, and methods for the creation and deployment of user-facing interfaces and backend web applications, including all aspects of server-side processing, data storage, and integration.
