UX Design Contractor – up to £400 Day Rate | Outside IR35 | 3-Month Contract (Immediate Start)
We’re currently looking for a talented UX Design Contractor to support our UX team in delivering user-centred, engaging designs across our award-winning digital platforms.
This is a day rate contract opportunity for an initial 3-month term, with the potential to extend. The role is outside of IR35 and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running – immediate availability is preferred.
About the Role
You’ll be working closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into intuitive, delightful digital experiences. Your day-to-day will involve:
Leading design projects from discovery through to implementation
Creating wireframes and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and test concepts
Collaborating with developers to ensure design intent is implemented accurately and efficiently
Managing iterative design cycles, using data and user feedback to refine solutions
Contributing to and maintaining design systems and component libraries
Conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
Working within multi-disciplinary teams, including developers, content strategists, and marketers
Engaging stakeholders and communicating design rationale clearly
Championing UX across the business, proactively finding ways to share our work and thinking (e.g. blog posts, workshops)
Supporting junior team members and offering guidance where needed
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in UX design roles
Strong prototyping and design skills using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
Deep understanding of user-centred design principles
A good eye for visual design and attention to detail
Solid understanding of accessibility standards
Awareness of current UX/UI trends
Creative, curious, and always keen to learn
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
