Independence Tooling is actively seeking a Utility Worker to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager
- Frequently travel locally using the company van for deliveries and pickups, ensuring efficient handling
- Perform general building and vehicle maintenance tasks, ensuring facilities are safe and functional
- Maintain grounds and outdoor areas, including landscaping and minor repairs
- Engage in general labor and construction tasks as needed
- Collaborate with various departments within the shop, such as Fixture Build and CNC Machining, to support their operations
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for transportation needs
- Demonstrated ability to understand and work with mechanical systems
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks
- Enjoys working with their hands and solving practical problems
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing workloads
- Prepared to work overtime when necessary, adjusting hours based on project demands
- Must possess a valid and current driver's license
- Only U.S. Citizens may be considered for this role
- Prior exposure to a manufacturing or build environment
- Familiarity with operating shop machinery is highly advantageous
- Interest in learning a trade such as welding, machining, fixture building, or quality assurance
