About the role
You will manage the site utilities that impact on and are influenced by Heinz Environmental & ESG Policies to ensure compliance and deliver improved efficiencies of key inputs and responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of utilities, including water supply, HVAC, waste management, and other related systems.
Your responsibilities will include;

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize utility systems for cost efficiency and environmental sustainability to assist in the company ESG roadmap.
  • Monitor and ensure the reliable operation of water supply, steam, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Engage / Coach the site in sustainability programs through effective utilities usage monitoring, practical recommendations, and focused actions by conducting regular inspections to identify potential issues and proactively address them.
  • Identify and support implementation of Capital Projects
  • Manage the various waste streams generated from the site and seek better ways to 'reduce, re-use and recycle' the waste.
  • Ensure all risks associated with utilities delivery are documented, assessed and that agreed action plans are implemented by leading a team of utility technicians and operators, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot problems and liaise with maintenance staff about breakdowns
  • Ensure all opportunities for improved efficiencies in utilities usage and delivery are documented, prioritized, and agreed actions plans are implemented.
  • Maintain a high standard of water quality for discharge to sewer or tertiary treatment plan


About you

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Discipline (e.g. Mechanical/Electrical/Energy/environmental/Chemical Engineering)
  • Previous experience in F&B sector desirable
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement / Project management
  • Familiarity with Wastewater treatment plants and operation an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet time constraints
  • Excellent planning and organizational ability
  • Multitasking skills
