THE ROLE

The UX Researcher will be responsible for the full lifecycle of user research activities, from data collection and analysis, planning through findings synthesis and presentation. You will use a variety of user research methods to deliver insights for the Auction and Sales Management team. There may be opportunities to support other initiatives across the company over time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end research projects using both qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g. in-depth interviews, usability testing, surveys).
  • Partner with researchers, designers, product managers and business stakeholders to prioritize and plan user research studies.
  • Collect and analyze information from diverse data sources to develop meaningful client segments.
  • Recruit research participants for individual user research studies and broader strategic needs, such as personas, roadmap discovery, and prioritization.
  • Identify and implement user research methods that achieve desired objectives.
  • Effectively translate user research findings into actionable insights through compelling storytelling.
  • Communicate and demonstrate the value of user research to various internal stakeholders. 

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience in user experience research, applied research and/or product research. 
  • Experience with a wide range of user research methods including but not limited to moderated and unmoderated usability testing, concept testing, in-depth interviews and surveys. 
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining research operations best practices, including recruitment workflows, participant panels, research repositories and documentation.
  • Experience with unmoderated remote research tools (Userlytics, UserTesting ,UserZoom)
  • Ability to balance rigor with constraints when planning, implementing and synthesizing user research. 
  • Ability to pull data from Tableau, SAP, and Amplitude and use SQL queries to connect different data sources.
  • Experience adapting to shifting strategic needs and priorities.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, product managers, and designers throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience with luxury brands.
  • Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams. Preferred work hours are 10 am to 6 pm. Occasional later hours might be required for EST interviews.
