Responsibilities
What you'll be able to do:
User Interface Architect Lead - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Work as part of the driver information experience team on instrument clusters to lead the resolution of driver information experience issues identified during design, validation and verification stages. Architect information systems and content organization for driver information to enhance usability and accessibility. Support driver information and Center Stack experience UI Architects as required to develop interaction specifications. Work with feature owners, safety office, attributes, and other teams as necessary to develop core cluster interaction specifications. Collaborate with the driver information core team to develop cluster functional specifications matching the interaction specifications. Develop wireframes to enhance interaction of current features and functions to improve the driver’s experience development. Collaborate with the design studio to develop theme proposals for future clusters. Domestic and International Travel Required up to 10%.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Graphics, Human-Computer Interaction or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Tracking and development of cockpit configurations for optimizing user experience, reach, contrast and ergonomics. 2. Regulatory compliance for FMVSS, CMVSS, ECE and GCC to create regionally compliant vehicle systems. 3. Software Development Lifecycle Management using Jira and tracking defects. 4. Developing arbitration and translation tables using rapid prototyping tools including Figma or ProtoPie. 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Designing Cluster Interaction Specifications using Figma and Excel. 2. Developing UI/UX Wireframe using Figma. 3. Designing and delivering interactive prototypes using Figma.
