Practice Area Overview

This internship provides hands on exposure to enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and the ServiceNow platform within a large-scale business environment. Interns will gain foundational experience in platform administration, configuration, workflow automation, and industry best practices while collaborating with ServiceNow professionals, business stakeholders, and technology teams. The program also offers exposure to Agile delivery methodologies, ITIL service management principles, and opportunities to strengthen technical, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills in a professional enterprise setting.

Throughout the internship, potential areas of exposure include:

• Assisting with ServiceNow configuration activities, form updates, and catalog maintenance
• Supporting testing efforts for platform enhancements, upgrades, and new functionality
• Learning to create and modify workflows, Flow Designer automations, business rules, and client scripts under supervision
• Assisting with report and dashboard creation to support operational metrics and service delivery insights
• Supporting CMDB data quality initiatives, discovery activities, and configuration item management
• Participating in requirements gathering sessions and documenting business and technical specifications
• Assisting with troubleshooting platform issues and supporting user requests
• Learning ServiceNow integration concepts, REST APIs, and data import processes
• Creating and maintaining process documentation, knowledge articles, and user guides
• Participating in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning activities, and team collaboration sessions

What We’re Looking For

• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
• Interest in enterprise platforms, automation, software development, and IT operations
• Basic understanding of programming concepts; exposure to JavaScript is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work
• Interest in IT Service Management (ITSM) and business process improvement
• Familiarity with Agile concepts, databases, or web technologies is beneficial but not required
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals

Work Location

Ability to work in our corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas throughout the entire ten-week summer intern program.

Employment Eligibility

Compensation

Summer Interns at Upbound Group are paid hourly in accordance with usual payroll procedures.

$23.00 per hour
