About the team:
The Labor Optimization team builds the technology, data, and analytics solutions that power labor planning across Walmart Supply Chain. Our team brings together data science, data engineering, analytics, and software engineering to solve complex operational problems at scale. We are modernizing legacy processes into a unified platform that improves how labor is planned, optimized, and executed across the network. We operate as an end-to-end technology team, partnering closely with Operations and Product while maintaining ownership from problem definition and architecture through development, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
What you'll do:
- Design and deliver scalable solutions that support Labor Optimization across Walmart Supply Chain.
- Translate complex business and operational problems into effective technical solutions.
- Build across data, analytics, optimization, and application layers as needed.
- Partner with Operations, Product, Data Science, and Engineering to deliver end-to-end capabilities.
- Own solutions from initial problem definition through development, deployment, and production support.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve existing ways of working.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across systems, data, and business processes.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of the Labor Optimization platform.
