About the team:
The Associate AI Platform team develops the next generation of intelligent experiences for Walmart associates by building an enterprise-scale AI platform that enhances productivity, decision-making, and access to knowledge. Operating at the intersection of AI, distributed systems, developer platforms, and product engineering, we address complex challenges in agent orchestration, tool execution, personalization, and responsible AI. The systems serve over two million associates across stores, clubs, campuses, and international markets. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will influence the architecture and technical direction of a platform redefining AI usage within one of the world’s largest enterprises.
What you'll do:
- Lead platform engineering efforts by delivering scalable infrastructure, reusable tooling, and cloud-native architectures aligned with strategic roadmaps.
- Drive full software development lifecycle activities including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance across multiple teams.
- Architect and implement AI-enhanced applications and intelligent systems supporting millions of users.
