MD level Global Macro Trading: TIPS and nominal treasury trading experience
- Global Macro Trading
- Main focus on trading UST securities and TIPS
- In addition, expected to assist in financing/repo USD products/Breakeven Inflation
- Market marker in TIPS and US Treasuries
- Participate in all relevant Treasury auctions
- Assist in primary dealership buildout
- Increase MUFG’s franchise presence and market share specific to inflation products
- Generate trade ideas
- Assist in balance sheet optimization and assess new strategies
- Provide leadership and act as mentor to analysts
- Self-starting but collaborative: ability to work with team of highly skilled professionals, collaborating workflow and tasks, and measuring and driving performance
- Leverage existing relationships and integrate into business
Qualifications:
- A BS/BA in Finance, Financial Engineering, Business or related technical degree.
- Series 7 & 63 required
- 15+ years of trading and risk management experience in interest rates, US Treasuries and TIPS.
- General understanding of regulatory landscape across banking and securities
- Exhibits strong risk management mind set
- Proven track record of profitability
- In-depth understanding of mechanics and dynamic knowledge of US interest rates, US Treasuries and inflation securities.
- Demonstrate ability to execute in high pressure situations.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $375k - $450k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation. Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Business, or related technical field
- Series 7 and Series 63 licenses
- 15+ years trading and risk management experience in interest rates, US Treasuries and TIPS
- Proven track record of profitability in trading roles
- In-depth understanding of US interest rate mechanics, Treasuries and inflation securities
- Experience as a market maker and participation in Treasury auctions
- Experience with financing/repo USD products and breakeven inflation strategies
- Strong risk management mindset and regulatory knowledge across banking and securities
