Job description

The Technical Lead for US Targeting, Recommendation, Optimization & Measurement (TROM) provides technical leadership for data, analytics, and technology capabilities that enable more effective targeting, personalized recommendations, optimization, and measurement across the US organization.

This role serves as a bridge between business strategy, data science, engineering, analytics, and technology delivery. The Technical Lead is responsible for translating business needs into scalable technical solutions, establishing sound architecture and engineering practices, coordinating delivery across teams, and ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, maintainable, and measurable.

 The successful candidate combines strong technical depth with delivery leadership and stakeholder management. They can operate effectively in a complex, cross-functional environment while providing hands-on technical direction to engineering and analytics teams.

Description of the area

Job Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and delivery of targeting, recommendation, optimization, and measurement capabilities.
• Translate business and product requirements into scalable technical architectures and implementation plans.
• Provide technical leadership across data pipelines, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and analytical/ML solutions.
• Guide engineering teams on architecture, coding standards, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, security, and operational readiness.
• Partner with data scientists to productionize and scale machine learning and recommendation models.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and scalability concerns.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex production issues.
• Ensure appropriate data quality, governance, privacy, security, and reliability practices.
• Drive engineering best practices, automation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical decisions across teams.
• Partner with stakeholders across functional areas and develop comprehensive stakeholder communication plans. Effectively manages relationships to act as a trusted advisor, proactively shapes stakeholder perspectives, and navigates intricate stakeholder environments by resolving conflicts to ensure alignment.
• Independently leads the analysis of moderate to complex delivery problems, driving root cause analysis and eliciting complex stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in data management and Analytics
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience in software engineering, data engineering, or enterprise technology delivery.
• Experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Architect, or similar senior technical role.
• Hands-on development experience with AWS cloud services like Lambda, EC2, EMR, Redshift, Glue, S3, Athena, IAM, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB etc.
• Hands on working experience in AWS GLUE ETL tool and having good knowledge on any of the ETL tools
• Strong hands on exposure to AWS Analytics services particularly Lambda, Step functions, EMR, Athena, Glue, Data-Pipelines
• Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals, system design, REST APIs, databases, data engineering, distributed systems, and cloud architecture.
• Experience with SQL, data pipelines, ETL/ELT, APIs, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with modern engineering practices including Git, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support.
• Experience working with data science/ML solutions/Agentic AI and productionizing models is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, technical leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent ability to analyze complex data sets, troubleshoot issues, and optimize data workflows.
• Creative problem-solving mindset to address data-related challenges.
• Ability to convey complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Commercial Pharma lifescience domain - 
  • Experience in Customer Engagement, Marketing, Forecasting
  • Payer/PBMs, DRG lives, MMIT Access positions, CareGaps, Campaign data 
  • IQVIA Sales, 867 Sales, 340B ,and other discounts programs etc.
