The Steel Sourcing Analyst will be based in Fremont California in Nextpower's south office building. In this position, you will report to a Sr. Sourcing Manager. The analyst will support the sourcing manager in preparing request for proposal for steel parts both within Nextpower domestic and global supply base. Will support supplier management thru KPI scorecards and quarterly business review presentations and meetings. The Steel Sourcing Analyst will analyze offers and maintain cost/capacity models.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…

  • Identify patterns in cost analysis to drive sourcing strategy
  • Prepare and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
  • Analyze steel markets and perform supplier screening and qualification
  • Review and analyze quotations
  • Develop and maintain suppliers’ scorecards
  • Support new supplier development and qualification
  • Support process optimization in the Supply Chain department

  • Solid structuring and analytical skills to keep track of multiple projects and vendors, in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; in particular Excel and PowerPoint. Strong data analysis skills required
  • Experience with Coupa, Malbek, and PowerBI preferred
  • Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Fluent oral and written communications in English
  • Results orientation and demonstrated ability to think out of the box to drive results
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and respond quickly and flexibly
  • Autonomous

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical and/or business major; graduate degree preferred
  • Previous experience in Supply Chain, solar and/or steel sector preferred
  • Experience working in an international environment
