Job Description

The Logistics operations analyst is responsible for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of shipment milestone and reason code reporting across the US Packaged Goods transportation network. This role drives performance visibility through KPI reporting and data analysis, manages the end-to-end freight claims process, and provides analytical support to resolve transport issues and improve supply chain outcomes. The Analyst is the key interface between operational data and management decision-making, leveraging TMS, freight audit tool and Power BI to deliver actionable insight.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure transportation milestones, shipment tracking data, and reason codes are accurately captured in the TMS and meet established SLA requirements.
  • Monitor transportation performance, investigate shipment exceptions, and perform root cause analysis to support issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the end-to-end freight claims process for damaged, lost, or short shipments, including carrier follow-up, resolution, and payment recovery.
  • Develop, maintain, and present transportation KPIs, dashboards, and performance reports to provide operational visibility and support decision-making.
  • Analyze transportation, carrier, and freight cost data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for service and cost improvements.
  • Conduct audits of shipment milestones and transportation data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely corrective actions.
  • Support daily logistics operations by managing transportation inquiries, ETA requests, shipment tendering, proof-of-delivery documentation, and cancellation requests.
  • Partner with carriers, warehouses, customer service, and internal supply chain teams to resolve transportation issues and improve service performance.
  • Evaluate supplier and carrier performance against contractual KPIs and recommend actions to improve operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop solutions related to transportation, distribution planning, inventory management, and broader supply chain operations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate Degree or Undergraduate degree or 2 years equivalent experience of carrier transportation/data analyst/supply chain reporting.
  • Proficiency in Logistics based technology solutions, such as TMS (E2Open preferred), SAP, and carrier web portals.
  • Preferred: Proficient skills in PowerBI and data reporting.
  • Strong understanding of freight milestone structures, reason codes, and SLA frameworks.
  • Experience with freight claims management processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make timely and efficient decisions.
