About the Role
We are looking for a US Immigration Specialist to manage the end-to-end US immigration process for employees. The person will be responsible for visa documentation, filing paperwork, tracking cases, coordinating with immigration attorneys and employees, and ensuring timely completion of all immigration-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end US visa and immigration process for employees.
- Coordinate with employees, HR, immigration attorneys, and external immigration service providers.
- Prepare, collect, review, and maintain immigration documentation.
- Coordinate preparation and filing of visa petitions and applications.
- Track visa cases, filing dates, RFEs, approvals, expirations, and other important deadlines.
- Support visa categories such as H-1B, L-1, B-1/B-2, E-2, O-1, and other employment-based immigration matters, as applicable.
- Coordinate H-1B transfers, extensions, amendments, and new filings.
- Support L-1 visa documentation and filings, including gathering documents to establish the relationship between parent and subsidiary companies.
- Coordinate visa appointments, consular processing, stamping, and employee travel documentation.
- Review documents for completeness and accuracy before submitting them to immigration counsel.
- Maintain accurate immigration records and case trackers.
- Follow up with attorneys and employees to ensure cases move forward on time.
- Monitor visa and work authorization expiry dates and initiate renewals/extensions in advance.
- Assist employees with immigration-related questions and provide timely updates on their cases.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and immigration information.
- Prepare regular immigration status reports for HR and management.
- Ensure processes are followed in accordance with applicable US immigration requirements and company policies.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in US Immigration / Global Mobility / Immigration Operations.
- Strong experience handling employment-based US visa processes.
- Good understanding of H-1B and L-1 processes.
- Experience working with US immigration attorneys and external immigration vendors.
- Strong documentation and case-management skills.
- Excellent follow-up and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple immigration cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets and documentation tools.
