Department OverviewAt Motorola Solutions, we help people be their best in the moments that matter. As part of the U.S. Federal Government Markets Division, we help soldiers see inside buildings and law enforcement agents see around street corners. We provide the situational awareness first responders need when a moment brings catastrophe. We do this by connecting them to seamless communication networks, applications and services, by providing them with real-time information, and by arming them with intuitive, nearly indestructible handheld devices.
The Presales Engineering Group is the technical lifeblood of the Sales Organization. Our engineers bring to life the innovative communications solutions that make a difference in the moments that matter. As the solutions architects, systems engineers have the technology and design responsibility for all Federal sales support engagements worldwide.
Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manages pre-sale opportunities and implementation of the identified complex projects; comprises all stages of the projects, starting from scope definition until final close of the project, involved in the entire Network Integration process
- Management of all aspects of technical solution, customer requirements, and expectations within the projects
- Defines directions and requirements to ensure timely implementation and quality of the technical solutions
- Provides engineering services for customers, including commissioning and testing Motorola equipment in accordance with technical requirements, documentation and contract obligations, and system presentation for the internal/external customers
- Directly responsible for the preparation of system bids, taking into account the customer's needs and the equipment available, as well as any modifications required in conjunction with the product group
- Works with operations as well as other internal and external developers of the networking products and systems to meet customer's delivery requirements and meeting deadlines
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a necessary security clearance as required by government contract
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
