The Opportunity
As an Integrity Threat Engineer under the US Corrosion Management team, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing TC Energy's pipeline integrity programs. The candidate will support both, the external and internal corrosion integrity programs covering the US footprint of 31,000+ miles of high-pressure natural gas transmission pipelines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of exceptional performance and impactful leadership qualities within the field of pipeline integrity management. They must possess the ability to engineer innovative, tailored solutions that effectively address the evolving needs and requirements of diverse stakeholders.
What you'll do

Conduct comprehensive reviews of upcoming consequence area assessments and expertly determine the most appropriate integrity assessment techniques to deploy.

Develop cutting-edge integrity assessment projects, craft detailed engineering justifications, and seamlessly integrate them into the organization's master plan.

Perform thorough quarterly project reviews, rapidly adapting plans based on evolving conditions to ensure the integrity program remains agile and responsive.

Evaluate TC Energy's most complex and high-value pipeline networks to identify integrity risks and spearhead the development of innovative mitigation strategies.

Skillfully review and analyze schedule modification requests from the ILI Project Management team, assessing the potential impacts to the overall integrity program.

Evaluate technical memorandums used to evaluate an ILI inspection and align to TC Energy's processes and procedures for digs, rehabilitation, and reassessment schedules.

Serve as a subject matter expert, supporting the External Corrosion Direct Assessment (ECDA) and Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment (ICDA) programs by mastering the process, creating comprehensive dig sheets, reviewing reports, and implementing recommended actions.

Collaborate closely with other teams to align ILI data and determine optimal remediation scheduling for shorted casings, failed ILI tool runs, AC/DC interference, and other integrity threats.

Leverage your cross-functional exposure to identify transformative opportunities for improvement within the integrity program and across the broader organization.

Elevate TC Energy's reputation as a leader in pipeline safety by publishing technical papers and delivering presentations that share industry-leading best practices.

Support other threat program objectives and tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
-
Professional engineer is preferred

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in pipeline integrity management or a comparable role

In-depth understanding of federal pipeline safety regulations (CFR 192) and their practical implementation

Direct knowledge and experience working on integrity programs, preferably internal corrosion

Demonstrated expertise in areas such as corrosion mechanisms, cathodic protection, coating types, and soil/liquid chemistry

Cathodic Protection Technologist (CP-3) or higher is a plus
-
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to navigate complex, cross-functional priorities and develop integrated solutions

Ability to make decisive, data-driven decisions with limited information and lead high-impact initiatives

Experience in industry outreach, including publishing technical papers and delivering presentations, is highly preferred
