Your role on the team: (job description)
- Procurement and local procurement strategies
- Drive down NAR through lowest possible levels without jeopardizing customer Transit time requirements.
- Local Supplier Performance Management (e.g. QBR`s)
- Focus on proper and adequate pricing for local enquiries and tenders.
- Ensure quality and completeness for pricing for origin and destination charges in scope.
- Ensure competitiveness of airport-to-airport pricing in line with volume and yield strategy.
- Volume growth strategies through Business development to safeguard the budget.
- Obtain and share market intelligence and regular updates as well as outlooks with BD and local management.
- Get regularly feedback about the issued pricing and performance levels from sales and customers.
What you need: (requirements)
- College degree (Bachelor) or equivalent work experience/ apprenticeship
- 3-5 years of experience working in a global air forwarder and carrier network in a leadership position
- Strong and proven carrier and customer negotiation skills
- Proven track record of managing air freight procurement
- Strong organizational and communication skills
