About the Role
The Global Programmatic Inventory and Yield Management (PIYM) team at SmartNews is responsible for expanding programmatic revenue by developing and executing demand and capture strategies across the open exchange, third-party demand partnerships, and SDK integrations. This includes optimizing existing deals, identifying and establishing new opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with SmartNews partners. Additionally, the team manages day-to-day ad operations, Google Ad Manager (GAM) operations, and yield management by optimizing pricing rules for monetizing partners (DSP, SSP, Open Exchange, etc.).
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Programmatic Advertising Operations Lead to lead our advertising operations in the U.S. This role is critical in driving revenue through programmatic channels, managing our ad tech stack, and optimizing campaigns to exceed performance goals. - Develop and implement strategies to optimize programmatic buying, header bidding & mediation partners , and audience curation.
- Oversee the setup, management, and optimization of programmatic vendors within GAM.
- Collaborate with product, sales, and ads engineering teams to enhance our ad offerings.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ad tech, trends, and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and act as a subject matter expert for our ad operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in programmatic advertising and digital marketing.
- Proficiency in major DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms), SSPs (Supply-Side Platforms) and Google Ad Manager.
- Strong analytical skills with a knack for data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional international teams effectively.
- Passion for digital media and technology with a forward-thinking mindset.

Compensation range of $150,000~$200,000 base salary, plus bonus and equity.
