Position Summary:
Responsible for the collection and testing of urine specimens at the Miami- Dade County Court House.
Essential Job Functions:
- Meet consumers at the Miami-Dade court area.
- Test urine of referred consumers for illegal/legal substances.
- Provide the Dade County judges with a quick response on the results of the urine specimen testing.
- Ensure the confidentiality of the results of the urine specimens testing.
- Participates in staff training and meetings as they relate to urine specimen testing and court presentations.
- Complete necessary paperwork within the time specified by the department.
- Attend court hearings when subpoenaed.
- Provides coverage as residential program support as needed.
- Maintains safety and security of facility assigned.
- Communicates with Program Coordinator regarding regarding consumers leaving treatment, injuries, or major infractions of rules, including acts of violence and drug use.
- Provide input in clinical team meetings.
- Ensure that all consumers are adhering to established schedules.

- None
Education:
- Must hold a minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D
Experience and Competencies:
- One year experience providing services to persons with alcohol and/or drug problems is preferred;
- Bilingual is preferred
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with judges and court personnel.
- Must have computer skills to document results in multiple databases
- Ability to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral Character
- Clearance in Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks, as required
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification and an annual Tuberculosis test.
