Urban Outfitters is seeking a visionary Head of Brand Marketing to champion and evolve our brand legacy. Recently named to Fast Company’s "Brands That Matter" list, we are looking for a leader to amplify our brand identity and foster impact through community-led marketing. You will drive innovative, social video-first strategies and comprehensive omnichannel campaigns that resonate with our audience and create excitement for the brand. From leading experiential events and celebrity partnerships to managing the earned media landscape, you will navigate the cultural zeitgeist to support the continued growth of our direct-to-consumer business. Candidates must be able to to lead concept-development and execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns in partnership with key marketing and creative partners, with an ability to set clear objectives that latter up to business and brand goals. You'll thrive in our fast-paced environment, using weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews as a launchpad to craft proactive, high-impact marketing initiatives that fuel our direct-to-consumer growth.

Role Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key member of the Brand Marketing Leadership team, driving 360 integrated initiatives and annual, seasonal, and monthly plans.

  • Partner with Analytics, Creative, Digital, and Buying/Merchandising leads to execute press-worthy programs, brand stories, and exclusive content.

  • Drive and evolve a holistic social strategy across UO's ecosystem (TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) and oversee social campaign execution in partnership with social team leadership. 

  • Lead the development and oversight of high-impact PR communication strategies while proactively managing brand reputation to elevate our market presence.

  • Identify key aspirational partners and develop seeding strategies to seek out impactful influencer and affiliate relationships.

  • Oversee the experiential team in creating programming for pop-up shops and larger event-marketing initiatives.

  • Manage yearly budgets, ensuring goals are met across all channels including PR, Influencer, Partnerships, Social, Consumer Insights, and Experiential.

  • Manage and mentor high-performing teams, emphasizing holistic career development.

Role Qualifications
  • 12+ years demonstrated track-record for driving business impact through the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives across organic channels

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related creative field.

  • Demonstrated track record for driving business impact through strategic marketing initiatives in a consumer-facing brand.

  • Creative thinker who can toggle between blue-sky ideation and analytical planning grounded in KPIs.

  • Advanced knowledge of emerging social/digital media channels and a deep obsession with the cultural zeitgeist.

  • Excellent communication, persuasive storytelling, and project management skills.
