JOB FUNCTION:
Responsible for assisting with day-to-day farm operations as directed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with all aspects of seeding, planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting vegetable crops.
- Assist with upkeep of grounds including mowing and trimming.
- Work with volunteer groups, including developmentally disabled individuals, as assigned.
- Maintain seeding and harvesting records as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to engage in physical labor for extended periods of time including bending, lifting, and carrying
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Good oral communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred
- Previous gardening or hydroponic experience a plus
