Performs general cleaning, transport and maintenance duties in the Patient Care Unit.
Job Responsibility
- * Maintains stock of supplies at pre-established par levels.Obtains and transports supplies as required.
- * Reports missing or damaged equipment to the appropriate leadership personnel and completes maintenance requests as directed.
- * Maintains a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment in occupied patient units.Cleans discharge unit and prepares same for next patient admission.
- * Cleans and maintains all rolling stock equipment and wall mounted equipment such as blood pressure apparatus, I.V poles, utility and treatment carts, monitor tops, suction units, etc.
- * Performs a variety of general cleaning duties necessary for the smooth operation of the unit including, but not limited to, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, tubs, sitz baths, etc., emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, and replenishing hand soap and paper supplies.
- * Ensures treatment and Utility Rooms, conference Rooms, Lounges, and Medication Rooms are kept clean, neat and properly supplied.
- * Accesses medication delivery and/or medication areas, as authorized, in the performance of required duties, as needed.
- Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Previous cleaning experience, preferred.
- Ability to operate light housecleaning agents, such as dust rags, scouring pads, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
