About the Role
The Unified Communications team is responsible for the strategy, architecture, engineering and support of Alight’s collaboration environments. Alight seeks an experienced solution architect with team management experience to lead current strategic initiatives and drive greater workplace productivity.
**US Citizenship requirements- as this role supports services provided to the federal government and/or a federal government contractor, proof will be required to verify US citizenship status at time of hire.**
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the global enterprise architecture and implementation for collaboration, conferencing, telephony, video conferencing, and digital signage.
- Determining architecture, vendor product and topology of the corporate SIP trunking environment. (Microsoft Teams) and contact center (Genesys Cloud) trunking.
- Working with security team to architect and implement secure external collaboration. (Microsoft Teams federation, B2B Guest access, and Teams Shared Channel capabilities).
- Setting technology standards for conferencing, including all video, web, and audio conferencing.
- Overseeing the provisioning and deprovisioning of colleague accounts and applications managed by the UCC team.
- Participating in or lead incident and problem resolution for products and technologies managed by the team.
- Managing our UCC vendors to maintain cost effective services.
- Managing our enterprise SIP trunking solutions and capacity for our contact center and office telephony environments.
- Working with network team and technology providers to monitor and troubleshoot voice and video media quality and reliability issues.
- Leading number and dial plan management for our enterprise voice systems.
Requirements
- Have completed a program of study typically requiring four years of post-secondary education or higher educational attainment.
- 10-15 years’ experience in unified communications or telephony
- Experience in team management 2 to 3 years.
- Experience with enterprise telephony and collaboration architecture development.
- Demonstrate experience Microsoft Teams administration, including voice, web, and video conferencing
- Voice quality analysis and problem resolution experience.
- Experience with network infrastructure technologies and the impact they have on telephony and conferencing applications.
- Network experience with VLANs and subnets, DNS / DHCP, Proxy servers, Firewalls, SD-WAN, QoS
- Grasp of QoS in a voice and video environment
- Experience with VoIP protocols, including SIP, RTP, WebRTC.

143,100 USD
