Underwriting Support

Your Role: You will play a vital role in enhancing the growth and profitability of AIG by providing exceptional administrative support to our underwriting team across Europe. Your contributions will directly impact our internal and external customers, ensuring that we maintain high standards of service and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with underwriters to streamline the end-to-end processing of new and renewal business, including endorsements.
• Engage in pre-binding activities, ensuring all necessary information is gathered efficiently.
• Liaise with brokers and clients to prepare accurate quotes for new submissions and renewals, updating raters as needed.
• Prepare referral documentation and issue quotes based on underwriter instructions.
• Manage transaction files effectively, capturing all relevant information and documentation.
• Participate in post-binding activities, updating subjectivities and ensuring timely policy booking and issuance.
• Support underwriters in gathering documentation for purchased reinsurance and handle client communications for policy adjustments.
• Collaborate with the Collection department to address finance queries and assist in recovering unpaid premiums.
• Provide technical support for underwriting platforms and assist with data integrity and portfolio management.
• Ensure compliance by supporting the timely completion of raters and addressing outstanding quotes during audit preparations.

• Proactive client servicing mindset, anticipating the needs of both internal and external clients.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate documentation and data quality.
• Effective time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and administrative skills.
• Proficiency in French and Dutch, with a working knowledge of English.
