Underwriting Support Specialist

Responsible for providing technical support to Underwriters, Agents, and other internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Rate and issue new business policies
• Process renewals
• Process policy changes from Agents, Insureds and Underwriters
• Provide general processing support to Underwriters and Agents
• Organize and maintain paperless files
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers via phone and e-mail
• Meet or exceed service standards
• Maintain positive relationships with associates and agents
  

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
• Great PC/keyboard skills.
• Willingness to adapt to change.
• A positive attitude and the ability to excel in a team environment.
• Good problem-solving, decision-making skills and attention to detail. 

PREFERRED:

• 1 to 3 years of Commercial, Specialty and/or Farm/Ag rating experience.
• Introductory insurance coursework and/or designations.
• Knowledge of, or experience in, Farm/Agribusiness/Commercial/Specialty insurance products.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Core office hours 8:00-4:30. Possible late shifts required to cover AZ time zone
• Training to occur in the office
• Flexible work from home opportunities may be possible once fully trained and in good standing
